About the Author
Penny Steinke
started playing horseshoes in 1987 and pitched her first World
Tournament in 1989. Playing horseshoes is a family tradition. She
started playing league at the Muskego Moose Lodge along with her
dad, Tom, and sister, Pam. Penny was the Wisconsin State Junior
Girls Champion in 1994, 1995, and 1996. She was also the Junior
Girls World Champion in 1995 and 1996. Her team won the Wisconsin
State Doubles Championship in 2006. She won the W.H.P.A. 2007
Pitcher of the Year award.
Penny earned her Associates Degree in Art and Science
in 1998, her Bachelor’s Degree in Early Childhood Education in 2001,
and her Master’s Degree in Curriculum and Instruction in 2007.
Penny Steinke is a National Board Certified Teacher!
Penny loves reading and working with children. Other
hobbies include playing horseshoes, watching movies, taking
pictures, collecting pressed pennies, latch hooking, and hanging out
with her nieces, family, and friends. She is the youngest of three
children. She grew up and still lives in Waukesha, Wisconsin, with
her cat, Shadow. |
