The year is 1898 New York City.
Ten-year-old Amanda, AJ to her friends, is living on the streets
dreaming of sailing on one of the big ships that comes into the
harbor daily. When Captain John Pinkerton returns to New York City,
he discovers his daughter isn’t dead as he was told. With God’s
direction he finds Amanda and sets sail. Amanda fights him ever step
of the way, but along the journey, she learns about family and God’s
love. |

About the Author and Hidden Treasure:
I began “Hidden Treasure” when I was
19-years-old. I had just accepted Jesus as my Lord and Savior and
had a dream about an orphan who finds a family. In college, I
received my Bachelors in Arts in English and Elementary Education. I
continued to work on the story as I began teaching Elementary school
and worked as an Assistant Youth Group Leader for my church. I
wanted to see those young people love God with all their hearts.
“Hidden Treasure” is the journey of a young preteen’s struggle. I
have a strong desire to see “Hidden Treasure” touch the lives of
kids all over the country. |
