About The Book
Old Testament Heroines of the
Faith consists of thirteen prominent
female characters in the Bible. The women chosen are Eve, Sarah,
Rebekah, Leah and Rachel, Jochebed and Miriam, Rahab, Deborah,
Hannah, Ruth, Abigail, and Esther. They were selected based on their
prominence and influence in the Bible. Each story accurately
portrays the biblical events and feelings of the character in poetic
rhyming couplets.
A commentary section at the end of each
chapter explains in more detail the cultural and historical setting
of the story. Also included, is a lesson’s learned section which
highlights godly character of the heroine.
Children and adults will appreciate the
colorful illustrations which vividly capture the circumstances
surrounding each heroine. |
