About the Author Frank A. Wicks has lived in Taiwan, Alaska, Hawaii, Kentucky, and the Pacific Northwest. Currently he is an elementary principal in Cordova, Alaska where he lives with his wife who is a teacher.

About the Illustrator Lana Wicks Rempel currently lives in Taiwan with her husband and two children. She grew up in Asia and has traveled throughout the United States.  She devotes her time to painting, drawing, traveling, and working on their 20 acres of land in Southern Oregon.  The Pedal Helicopter Adventure is her first illustrated book.
