About the Author
Laura Linza manages
a veterinary hospital and writes in her spare time. She has been
writing stories, poems, and songs since she was a young girl. She
fondly remembers the teachers who recognized and encouraged her
creativity. This is Laura’s first published children’s book. She
lives in Sacramento, California with her partner and their two dogs
and cat. |

About the Illustrator
Randy Jennings is a
full-time freelance illustrator, whose main passion is creating
children’s books. Randy has brought to life many published
full-length books such as Little Green Men and the
award-winning The Golden Cricket. He received his degree
from San Jose State University in Illustration. Randy lives with
his wife and five pets in Citrus Heights near Sacramento,
California. |

I thought this book was really cute! The
illustrations are wonderful and the story of Pilati who learns about the
things that really matter is a wonderful message for children. I love how
the rat is a positive character in this book as well! A great read!
