About the Book

Follow Denise as she takes you through growing up in the South during the 60s and 70s in a dysfunctional environment where abnormal is always the norm; chaos is orderly; warfare is gauged by not what is spoken, but what isn't; the idea of love is expressed in exchanges; loneliness is deafening, but life is never dull. Meet the characters who helped to shape her perceptions of life and how it should be celebrated, but more importantly how it should not.
